I have been passionate about caring for and treating people who are actively involved in their safety and well-being in various ways.
I am originally from South Korea. I was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps and carried out my duties faithfully. I was promoted to captain and resigned my commission after 6 years. I migrated to Australia in 2004 and worked as a registered nurse after completing a Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Newcastle. I decided to undergo a career change after discovering new possibilities in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I hold a four-year Bachelor of Health Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). I completed a comprehensive clinical internship at the UTS Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic and undertook a further internship at Dong-Eui Medical Centre, South Korea. I am an AHRPA registered practitioner and Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) member.
I apply a combination of modalities in my treatments including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tui-Na, cupping, moxibustion, Gua-Sha, and lifestyle advice. With a collaborative intent, I aim to empower people with the knowledge and skills they can use for themselves to promote a healthy and balanced life.
